Our C of the week is Consistency and we are talking about how it impacts your team. We will talk about how important it is to be consistent in how you deliver on key aspects of your job and how it relates to my time in Costuming. As you look for ways to ensure consistency, remember that consistency in delivery impacts satisfaction and loyalty measures both internally and externally.
How you measure your team's success is dependent on your team's role in the overall experience as well as how your partners perceive the impact to their job. We are kicking off this week with the C of Composure. Composure in an organization depends on the individuals who work within the organization and how they adapt to growing demands of their industry. How calm and in control are you?
Individuals can choose the level of calm they share and how much they contribute to the overall success of the organization. Each chooses whether they will feed the anxiety and the chaos or listen and watch. For your measurement, ask how much you actually listen as this will enable and support composure for all in the organization. Be aware of the tone you share in any communication, including emails and social media.

Team Composure aligns with that of an organization. It needs the people to make it positive. One person on the team can impact the perception of composure for your entire team. Having this awareness helps remind the team how important composure is to them and their partners.
Make it your responsibility to help others with composure even during times of stress. You'll appreciate the impact and the feedback. Remember to reference your confidence as it helps build and maintain composure. With your team, help them reset with a team day or team event. They will appreciate the pause to regain the calm.

This week, Teri Murray joins me once more to talk about Composure. We talk about the importance of being yourself, knowing your audience, and engaging others. Composure goes beyond the calm perception of others and can become part of how we see ourselves.
We can use tools like AI to help us seem calm in email, but we must decide on the final message. When we think through responses before we send them, we can appear composed and deliver on expectations. We still own the follow-up and delivery approach.

This week, we tackle the C of Courage. Courage is knowing the message you are sharing and sticking with the positive path. We all determine when what we share and when we share it. Courage is overcoming our concerns and moving forward.
Courage in an organization can lead to growth or expansion, but it is also doing the right thing for people not just the business. Measuring courage includes how people react after decisions. I'll share some stories about when courage was challenging, but required for the community and the business.

We are focused on courage again this week and connecting with you as a leader. We'll talk through how it is important for you to have the courage to support and develop your team even when your organization doesn't recognize the impact.
As we share some examples, I'll address how important it is to say, "I don't know," but follow-up with "What can I do to help find the answer?" Courage can't stop at "I don't know." It needs to be encouraged and demonstrated through lasting partnerships.

The C of Courage and your team is the discussion of the week. Leaders encourage courage by asking the team to share their expertise and providing opportunities to stretch beyond their comfort levels. Encourage your team members to connect with other leaders or find a mentor to help with a change and increase their courage.
Courage can be seen by taking action and measured from internal and external sources. A sign of courage may be simply seeking out feedback from others.

As we meander and connect with the C of Creativity this week, we look at how you as a leader can encourage and impact it. As you try to engage your team, remember creativity is not planned. It occurs when it is needed. Try to provide time for your team to be creative even if your main function is focused on data. That break will help with teamwork and long-term success of your team.
It is important for you as a leader to demonstrate creativity with your team. Even though time is tight or meetings take up the day, finding time to demonstrate creativity can help influence your team's success. Being a part of the creative process, helps encourage more ah-ha moments and allows for individual as well as organizational growth.

Welcome to the last C on our journey. This week, we start through the C of Commitment. While all of the Cs or important to the success of an organization, without commitment, the others can fall flat and not impact any outcomes. Commitment is about following through on what matters to an organization. For the individuals within an organization, freedom can be found through commitment.
An organization can measure commitment to the brand by how long people stay with your organization. By staying with an organization, employees commit to the quality. That quality provides a reason for guests and customers to stay with the brand.

During our second week of commitment, we are reminded to be committed to your decisions and to the long-term. It is important for your team that you also share your commitments so they can help you deliver on those commitments. As they assist, remember to commit to developing your team members. As they develop and grow, so will the team's success.
Communicate well so others understand what you are committed to accomplishing. Ask your team to help identify your commitments before you share them with others. Lastly, follow-through with your commitments.
